I am a UX and content leader passionate about leading teams through even the toughest head-scratching problems.
I'm skilled at excavating complex concepts, and using language as a design tool to create delightful experiences from a well-defined foundation.
How I got started in UX
I transitioned into UX after working many years in healthcare and employee benefits. As a benefits manager at The Onin Group, I started to participate in product conversations around the office. It wasn't long before the team realized I had a knack for usability design, not only because of my background in Psychology but because as a benefits manager, I was good at turning complicated issues into accessible conversations.

I accepted the position of UX Strategist, changed my email signature, and never looked back. I am still very grateful for my experience in Employee Benefits and for the many transferrable skills I've been able to draw from over the years.
What I've been working on
I'm currently standing up the content design discipline on the UX team at Hinge Health. ​

Most of my work happens horizontally across problem spaces and platform teams. I distribute content guidance at scale across shared concepts through consulting hours and written and/or visual resources. I still dedicate a portion of my workload to embedded projects where I shape the product experience by creating user-friendly content that can scale with our design system.
What I'm curious about
I think the future lies in contextual experiences that get out of the way of humans living life.

I'm excited about the opportunities that can come from AI. I know that might sound strange for a writer to say, but as a job tool, this could enable content designers to operate at the top of our license.
